Why is vintage worth its price?
Vintage stands for quality, uniqueness, and genuine rarity . Strictly speaking, a piece of clothing can only be called " vintage " if it is at least 20 years old . Items from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s in good condition are becoming increasingly sought after—and therefore increasingly difficult to find. This causes their value to continually rise.
Particularly sought-after items often come from overseas, which incurs additional shipping costs, customs duties and import taxes.
By purchasing such quality items —clothing that's rarely produced these days—you're not only investing in your style, but also in the future. Well-cared-for vintage pieces can be real investments .
Sustainability and the injustices of the fast-fashion industry would actually be reason enough to choose vintage. But in the end, it's something else that determines true value:
It's that feeling when you hold the perfect vintage piece in your hands – the quality, the cut, the weight of the fabric – and you know: this piece will make you look and feel so much better than anything new ever could.
